Hi guys just wanted to know what step by step procedure you usually do when doing SEO... like what is the first thing that should be done and then the next and so on and so forth..

if you mean a daily routine, I try and keep to something like this:

- Submit to a few directories, each submission with different description and anchor text (usually about 10)
- Check any submissions that were made 14 days ago, see if I've been accepted
- Update backlink spreadsheet accordingly, with new requests and any accepted requests
- Read around a couple of forums, usually the SEO and Marketing areas, make a few posts
- Optimise the content of a few of our web pages using better keywords and content
- Submit our sister site to a few directories that have accepted our main site (this is less important)
- Read around to see if anything interesting is happening (google blog, Matt Cutts blog etc)
- Check our IBLs with Yahoo and another online tool, update graphs
- Check emails, read any useful, delete the rest.
