The theme is only Fixed, doesnt have an Fluid XML otherwise would of posted it. its a purchased theme aswell and didnt have the Fluid XML (Not sure on how to get this theme on the Fixed/Fluid XML...

there isnt any rule saying i cannot password protect my files. so why change it?... and doesnt matter which server i use to upload. maybe they die quickly for you but certainly not for me.

The xml posted is for 3.8.1 so i went ahead and updated it to 3.8.3 footer template needed editing

no, but uploading as an attachment is a rule.

There is no need to password files it can be frustrating and annoying.
