Remove posts but not post counts in VB-3.6.8

Hi guys
Believe me when I say I've searched.

Anyway my boss did some clean up of old posts and it also removed post counts. This irked some of our members of course.
I told him I believed there was a way to do this with out deleting post counts
so he challenged me and hear I am. LOL

Is there anyway to delete obsolete posts without lowering peeps post count in VB-3.6.8

you can create a trash and move them in

So what your saying then is create a trash and when I move the posts to it the post count for each individual peep will stay.

Yes, you make a forum called "trash", then you move posts that you want in and your members will have the same post count and your boss will be happy

You might want to edit the permissions so you can hide it,
makes it much easier.
