i think if u wanto activate the imported members etc... etc.. i think u have to go to admin cp... go to usergroups,, user group manager... then at the top u will see...Create Usergroup Based off of Usergroup: click activate imported users..

then set them up as regular users...

then u probably need to go to maintence of the cp.. Repair / Optimize Tables
and Update Counters.. that worked for me..
