This is limited to the left hand, palm and fingers to the inside wrist but not involving the wrist. In 1974 my left hand was repeatedly exposed to boiling water for extremely short intervals. Second degree burns were diagnosed. The peeling and dryness of that hand started to become a nuisance 2 years later so I have lived with it for more than 30 years. All doctors notice it but none have offered any recommendations. Is there a specific product I can use? Is that a result of the burn?
EDIT-Late '70s while in the military the doctors scraped that hand and did tests searching and found nothing.
The same thing happened to me this spring and it started as itchy tiny bumps on my finger and palm of one hand, then they went away and then weeks later my palm and fingers started to peel and it was thick and deep! It hurt! If it was like this it is a form of eczema and it went to both hands and the Dr said it usually goes to the bottom of feet but I didn't have it there then but it did come there. She said not to peel it as it will go deep. Now I use a medicine and have no problems anymore. See a dermatologist and I bet they can figure out what it is. I also had a foot infection that I went to my family doctor for weeks and she could not clean it up and so sent me to a dermatologist and he had it gone in 3 days! So that is why I would go to a specialist. Good Luck!
