Hi,
any o you knows how long it take a link to make difference. in case the link is a high quality link. It depends on how often the search engine crawl the web site that inbound link is placed in. My guess is as soon as the search engines find that link, it should not take more than 3 months for the effects of that link to be visible. Of course you have to keep getting backlinks for this process to be truely beneficial. It really depends on the crawl rate of the site your link is on. Quote: 3 months is a long time. With paid links it typically only takes 2-3 weeks Interesting information "tentimes". I would sure would like to know more about your approach of determining that timeframe. Quote: Originally Posted by webmerchant Interesting information "tentimes". When I do it, the links have always been in Yahoo Site Explorer in that time frame and if it's in YSE than Google has definitely already counted it. It doesn't take long after Google finds it to attribute it to your rankings.
In fact, I would say that as soon as Google finds it, it attributes it to your ranking. Even though they only do a PR update every couple of months, the links have already been added to the PR formula. I think it goes much faster. No longer than a few days. It all depends on how often spider visit the site where the link is coming ... Quote: Originally Posted by wordgeist Hi,

No one knows exactly how long it will takes to show results for your links, better to analyze first the right keywords for your links and the best way is to create good quality content for offpage optimization. Article Submission are some of the fastest ways for promoting your sites and creating good backlinks. Yeah know one are able to know how long it will take. It's will depend on crawlers on how long do they take crawled and index your page. I mentioned above 2 to 3 months because even after the search engines find those inbound links there are a set of calculations, index updates and such that must be considered before the link juice actually flows. So unless anyone of you guys is on the "Google" BFF list, we are all just speculating and guess. If the links are considered sooner than the time frame given above then it's a good think. About two weeks from the moment the spider found your link.
Link age plays a role, usually you can "obseve" an increasing value for the link after 1,3 and 12 months again.
That said, it is of course hard to see the effects after 3 and 12 month as you normally keep working on your site, but that's what some results with sites made for testing to answer such questions suggest. I would say that it all depends on site you posted link. Popular sites gets crawled more often than others. If you have got a link from good website then check whether that Page is indexed in google or not.. One such link will not do any thing but more such URLs from different source will help to boost your search engine ranking.. Quote: Originally Posted by wordgeist Hi,
