I get this error,

Configuration: includes/config.php does not exist. Please fill out the data in config.php.new and rename it to config.php


I checked the validator.php and it says this

includes/config.php.new FAIL

but in my includes folder i have config.php and thats all i edited config.php

It says my config file is a NEW file but its .php?
 
Ugh, I keep getting errors in this. I think the problem is that I've probably uploaded half the files. =|

Also - everytime i try install i get upto step 6 then i get an error "./install/vbulletin-language.xml/ is not here" or w/e. And it's there o.O? Help?

You probably haven't uploaded the XML document. Try uploading them and try again. =]

Hm, I downloaded the repack version and installed it onto my site, and it says its the Beta 4 version.

Did you finish the instilation, it updates step by step
ie: beta1, beta2......gold

You can do it in Hoxxy's method, or you can upload the XML Documents via your webhost rather than an FTP client.
 
ok i think i fixed it by just chmodding the upload files to 777. also does chmodding keygen.php matter?

and does the keygen write to the config.php? because i kept my old one, but do i need to redo my config?

To bypass customer number

Download this file, unzip it and upload authenticate.php to your /install/ directory and overwrite the original file.
