DataBase Error...

I just downloaded http://www.vbteam.info/vb-3-8-x-releases/14448-vbulletin-v3-8-0-php-nullified-gysn.html

And uploaded all the upload files,configured the config file.

But when I try to access my site, I get a database error:

What am I doing wrong?

I'm sure my info in the config.php is correct.

Please help.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean.

I did edit my config file
and I have my install files...if that's what you mean.

The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file.

I do have permission to connect to the server. ugh

My info in config.php is correct

this is from myphpadmin

wrestlef_vb

Users in vb
wrestlef_vb903 (Privileges: ALL PRIVILEGES)

but i don't know why it's not working for vb.

Please help

Do you have the backup if you have then try to make other database and restore your backup and edit your config.php with your new details i hope it works.

Funny thing is I used my older database settings that my phpbb forum was on, and it worked but when I moved all my phpbb forum settings to the wrestlef_vb..903 settings even phpbb is giving me a access denied.

Getting an access denied means that the password or user details are incorrect.

If you're on a free host, you may not be able to use localhost as your db server address. Take a close look in the database section of your cPanel as it may specify a db server address.

Actually I just removed my phpbb forum,which I was going to convert, and installed a fresh vB on the working(for phpBB) DB info.

:D
