I use photoshop brushed with fireworks - but I've got an old copy of Photoshop and I install the brushes into that then create a file with the brushes I like>Click to view attachment

E

In fireworks - select all and them go to 'adjust colour' and select Hue/Saturation. then within that click to select 'colourise, then wap up the saturation to 100% and mess about with the hue until you get the right shade of red...like this:

I reduce the size of the file to 600px wide to speed up the upload.

Because I use Fireworks to design websites, have done ever since I started and never use photoshop - but you can't get brushes for Fireworks and so this is a good workaround.
OK thanks all
I Finally got them working in both fireworks and photoshop
great! glad to help out.
good to hear !

also i think Fireworks seems to be becoming bigger and more noticed recently so that is good to hear of people using it.. (even if i don't...)
I've used it ever since version 1 - that was a very long time ago...
I might be upgrading to Adobe CS3 Web premium next year - you get photoshop and fireworks and so I wonder whether brushes would be more integrated between the two programs.
i am gettting CS3 Web Premium delivered style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
