"Advanced" Postcounter in a Forum (don't count replys)?

Hy,
I want to make a special forum in my Board, where new Users can introduce themselves. To avoid Spam, only the Threadstarter (the one who introduces himself) should get a Point for his Postcounter, the others (who reply to his introduction) shouldn't get a Point. Is there a way to implement this feature? (In the other forums, the Postcounter should work normally of course)
