Z-index panels positioned absolutely on top of gallery - strange flashing text

I have a div of info positioned over a webkit picture gallery made in house. Very strangely and on the safari browser only (so far) the text is flashing when the mouse moves around the gallery, as if its changing between regular and semi-bold. Very strange. I have prepared a fiddle, but have checked and it does not render in this manner in the fiddle window, which leads me to conlcude that this is something to do with the pinch zoom features of safari as it appears on OSX lion, and iOS versions of safari.Can anyone work out why :: http://jsfiddle.net/b6ApD/3/Marvellous
