My site was on 2nd on 1st page on yahoo. Suddenly its no where in yahoo. What may be the reasons? Yahoo must be adjusting their algorithm. Someone asked on another forum asked about a change in traffic from Bing and Yahoo. Check your Google Analytic reports and you might see that traffic from these have been fluctuating for a few weeks. Yahoo has an algorithm? kidding aside, the Yahoo / Bing partnership is probably to blame - We rarely even look at these stats but I imagine soon they'll be the same results (like aol search is google's search results). Yahoo is powered by Bing.

Bing's search results are all over the place. Maybe Bing is having trouble making "decisions". jk lol I think they are just make some tweaks, here and there. One day you can be on page 1, then tomorrow you're on page 6 for 3 days, than back to page 1. I have been watching this closely, and trying to figure it out. It's been doing this for several months. yahoo backlinks is also not working. Hi,

Check your webmaster & see there nay errors or any duplicate content. If its showing than remove on urgent basis! As my experience says "Yahoo loves new and unique content on your page" When I see fall in my ranking on yahoo, I edit something. Whether it may be content or meta tags, both things work. As from many time yahoo has not shown any kind of updation or changes. And that is why yahoo is going to shut down or would be its right sell to other. So do not worry for the yahoo ranking more. A few reasons for the drop,
- Some change in algorithm
- Some sort of penalty
- Some malware on your website
- Some hack attack
