Xslt basic question

i'm beginner with Xslt, and i whant to get the attribute of a node...i know that the att. name is "lan" and the structure of the doc. is likethis :<greetings><greetings>hi</greetings><greetings>hello</greetings><greetings>yo</greetings><lan name="eng"/></greetings>I whant to select the att. when i'm applying template to the other node,but i can't figure this simple thing ;-(thx
