I really like XML and am getting the hang of it in the XHTML way. I want to make a single word in this sentence of mine bold, which I have done in the past by creating a class style for it and called it, .textbold. Well, that's great and all, but it's a lot of extra typing of tags and what I'm wondering is can I use just the HTML < b> tag to get the same effect, WITHOUT, be considered sloppy? If this is possible, would you agree that the trasitional DTD should be used in this case?<br />

I would like to write my own DTD's, but my professor isn't doing to great of a job right explaining it to us, since none of us have any clue how to create them.
So I will have to teach myself. Know of any good and easy to understand tutorials for DTD's?<br />
