I've heard of and seen some instances where web sites are using an xml document as a site map. It doesn't seemed to be published, just referenced up in the head of a html document.
I guess what I want to know is if there is any particular benefit in this for search engines and if so where do I begin. I have a few apps that create xml docs (word, excel and I assume my web editor dwmx) but I've failed to make a document that makes any kind of sense.
Any help to set a newbie straight would be appreciated.
