Writing and Reading a XML Stream

How would a person be able to write to and read from an XML stream that wouldeventually be transferred over the network? I am trying to do this but havenot succeeded in finding any examples. All examples that I find are directedtoward saving it as an actual file and not a stream. I have tried usingMSXML.DOMDocument but I don't know for sure if I am on the correct path ornot. Any suggestions??Thanks,Bryan
