Do WordPress themes templates can really bring a lot of backlinks to my website if the templates are designed by me and have my own website URL on it? Yes but like forum sig links, you don;t get much weight back when it comes to google. Their search bots detect sitewide links in the same spot over and over again and reduce the amount of link juice that you get. Thanks, drmike. I have another question: Currently, what kind of link can bring much weight back to my website? Do you have any suggestion about how to easily get this kind of greate links back to my website? One way links related to your site theme will be really beneficial in terms of search engine ranking. A simple solution is to make your WP templates tighter and more focused on your keyword. Let’s say you have an online site that sells fancy dress costumes. Why not design a theme that is so tightly focused on the different costumes on offer that it wouldn’t be used by anyone that wasn’t interested in blogging about that topic.
Just be aware that the links won’t fly in but over time you will build a collection of targeted links that are on topic and relevant. Using the same example, if you created a theme for ever popular character costume over time you could build up a heck of a lot of back links.
