I am slightly confused....
I have been posing in Yahoo Answers and even though the links in my answers are NoFollow, they are still showing up in Google Webmaster Tools. Any ideas why?
Thanks no-follow does not mean no-index. Nor does it mean Google will not follow the link!
It's name is misleading.
Google currently uses it to indicate that link juice (PageRank) should not be passed down the link.
So Google still indexes it and follows it to find other links, it just won't give the recipient any credit for it. Quote: Originally Posted by ross88guy I am slightly confused....

Thanks Hi,
In my own experiences, nofollow inbound links would also be treated as back links for your sites though such links would be have benefits on your PR, especially from authority sources like Yahoo Answers.
all the best,
