I recently launched eWebDevelopment.net about Mid May. Google has indexed all of my pages except my categories listed within my link directory. For example, http://www.ewebdevelopment.net/directory.htm is indexed and listed.... but the link categories within are not indexed such as http://www.ewebdevelopment.net/web_design.htm for example....Anyone know why? Will i have to wait for the next big PR/Backlink update?Oh yea, googlebot loves my site. Visits it daily - usually a couple times. Maybe once your site has passed the sandbox effect and gets some PR google will crawl it deeper. There may be some limit to the number of low PR links it will follow...I say this only basded on the theory that google tends to crawl sites with higher PR more frequently....so maybe it's hitting some PR trap that sees PR0 in the homes page > PR0 again on the directory page and then it bails.Google loves directories so i would suggest - wait and the dream will come true. Make sure you have good and original content there. P.S. what directory script do you use? I can advise this one - aeDirectory http://www.aewebworks.com/aedirectory.htmP.S.S. by the way how do i submit my links to your directory?Shrek_Update wrote:what is your email? I need this in orde to provide link back to your site?Shrek_Update wrote:bbott1982I agree with the other posters in this thread. Eventually Google will deep crawl your site and many of your pages will be indexed. But ... ... I have been developing a links analyzer to see what is the relationship between the internal structure of websites and PR distribution.According to the *preliminary data* YOU have ranked your pages (in order of importance):/directory.htm//company.htm/services.htm/privacy.htm/portfolio.htm/webquote.htm/promotions.htm/contact.htm/news.htmFrom there everything else drops off rather quickly. In regards to the page you mentioned ... web_design.htm ... it is only linked to 3 pages of higher rank. All other links are coming in from lower ranked pages. In other words ... with your current structure, you will have to be very patient. I would guess that this page will be 2 ranks below your home page rank. Like I said *** results are very preliminary ***rtchar wrote:Like I said this program is very preliminary right now. But I have added your site to the study. Page rank is nothing more than a mathematical formula applied across the entire web. This formula also works on a site level. ...In most cases IBL's only point to the home page. The PR of the home page is distributed according to the link structure you create for your site. For example /directory.htm on your site has 32 IBL's and is the most important page on your site. On the other hand /webdesign.htm only has 8 IBL's.The other part of the story is the relative importance of the IBL and the number of links on the page containing the link.In effect this is the same principles applied by Google only smaller scale.rtchar wrote:Sorry but it is not that simple ...The more links you have on a page the less valuable the link becomes ... in effect you can reduce the value of all your links and achieve the exact opposite effect. Why do you think Google likes PR so much? This is why I felt I needed a program like the one I am working on!bbott1982, I think you have to wait for some time to see PR for your website, coz it's new. I strongly suggest you submit your website in quality directories like Dmoz, Yahoo! etc... and get links. These directory links are quality links & will provide you better and stable PR.Please create SITE MAP for your website, so SE spiders can find and index your all pages quickly.Hope this helps you.No need a site map though I think you should link to your directory via the homepage!...the main problem is I cant find any inbound links on Google to your site:http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&ie ... .net&meta=Google may use this tread to add it and your signature links but you need to get more "domains" to link to you tokay, I have a question for you all. I have been reading through this post and have just started redesigning my site. You talk about internal links throughout the post. I made my main menu structure so that it points to every other page on my site. Here is a link to my site:http://www.dsolutionsgroup.comI have also been working on getting backlinks. My question is are these links in my main menu overkill? Am I going to be penalized or have a low page rank because of them? Thank you in advance for any help.IMO its ok but you should design for users first. A rule of thumb I use is a link will be indexed with PR as long as it has a link from a PR4 page... this not true in all cases but for small sites I would say it is.If you have PR5 or less site then I would want a shallow structure so as may pages are indexed as possible. If you want to focus on a few pages and don
