Hi,I have a question I'm hoping someone here can help me with. Our website was #33 in Google for our top search phrase all summer until this morning when it dropped down to #51.The thing I can't figure out is we are #6 in Google for allinanchorur keyword (*I know this only a barometer but you'd think we'd be higher than #51 at least by a bit just based on our anchor text links.Any feedback or suggestions would be very welcome at this point. Thanks in advance. When i search for allinanchor:"my keywords" , i see the same results with searching for "my keywords" .I think there are some deadlink or invalid SEOzied pages on your site , it must not be huge difference as you report i am thinking.Get some more backlinks & be patient.Iit may simply be that other sites are rising ... you are not falling. To see the differences in search engine results see ...http://ranking.thumbshots.com/?q1=Wedding+Favors&e1=google&q2=Wedding+Favors&e2=yahoo&p=favorwarehouse.comIt looks like sites that do well in one search engine do worse in another.Keep doing what you are doing for your CUSTOMERS ... let the search engines sort themselves out.WOW this is an excellent tool - thanks rtcharI think it use the Alexa for the thumbnail shot of the sites Hi Rtchar,I'm an seo newbie and need some help understanding how to read that chart generated by the comparison tool you mentioned. Thanks in advance.Hi,After exhaustive research I've found we compare almost exactly the same in all areas with the top ranked 'wedding favors' sites except in 2 areas:- They have over 2,000 pages in thier websites... we only have 980 (*which I think is preventing Google from recognizing us as an 'authority' site which I've heard they really like... content, content, content).- Marketleap is only showing aprox.2,200 backlinks for our site, while it shows double that for the #1 site. Although we have the same PageRank, number and quality of links, not to mention at least the same number and quality of directory listings... Google seems to be either sandboxing over a thousand of our more recent links or does not think we have the 'senority' (kinda like a union) of the other top sites (*all of which have been around a lot longer than us... we have been live for only 1 year).Does these theories of mine make any sense to anybody?your site has been live for a year and that shld be enough to be considered a "senior" site.so, i guess it has nothing to do with seniority in this instance.are most of yr links new?maybe googles not done with updating yr new links- you may have to wait a while...
