HiAfter being advised on here to do a HTML version of my Flash site, the best I could do is an HTML homepage addign all the keywords and description etc etc.Why is it that when I type in wedding photographer bracknell into google, it does not find my site anywhere ?Is there more i need to add ?Would someone kindly look at my site and give me some more ideas pleaseThxPaulhttp://www.wilkinsonphotography.co.ukPlain text content which google can read.1. You need quality backlinks. Not having them will make your quest for better rankings much harder.2. Make sure you use header tags. I've read in different books that google does place an importance on header tags. For example, you have a block element (div) for "Wilkinson Photography" above the picture of the baby. Try doing <h1>Wilkinson Photography</h1> and applying the necesarry css to it to fit your style. Not a huge difference but every little bit counts.3. Also, I would rename your picture reflecting the theme of your site. For example rename it to baby_photograph. It adds a keyword to your content which should help. Also, use the "alt" for your picture as well. For example:<img alt="Wilkinson Photography: Providing photography services for all occasions in the Bracknell and Berkshire Area" src="http://www.ozzu.com/other-google-information-and-resources/baby_photograph.jpg" width="489" height="632" border="0" />good luck. Hope some of this helps.Google may not have indexed your site yet. Give it a day or two and see if anything changes.thx allI will try the suggested ideas.Google may not of listed it yet, but what you see has been like it for about 2 weeks now.ThxPaulIt's indexed.http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=si ... y.co.uk%2Fcan try to reduce the size of the files, but loading something slowly, and i have adsl 512, and yes better PR = better position of searching, look for free link exchange or pay for link exchange with high PR pages, good look!Google can't read this so it passes it by. Google loves lots of keyword rich text. I'd get rid of the flash. Make an html index page. Use the flash and photos and all that stuff on inside pages. You have to think like google if you want indexed. I found this out with my headlines.Wouldn't meta tags work as well?I've done some tests and it takes about 200 words of content to get google to pay attention. I guess you could see if meta tags would work. But I'd drop the flash altogether. It really is not conducive to the way google works. In addition, lots of visitors will be turned off by it.Words work better on the web. They sell better. Even when what you are selling are graphics.skpaulwilko, not sure if that's within your budget, but here's what I would suggest:- change your front page to be more Search Engine Friendly. If people don't have Flash player, the {object} and {embed} tags in HTML will take care of that, you don't have to advertise the player on your site, put your info there instead - set up a Flash-free version of your web site. There still exists a number of people who use dial-up and/or refuse to visit heavy flash web sites. Put a lot of text there, so Google would index it properly.roma is absolutely right, on the web words sell better
