Hi, I am responsible for the SEO of http://www.herbalglobal.com. We had about 45000 pages indexed in google till March 2005. We were also in top 10 positions in Google for a lot of products and we were getting good amount of visitors. Everything was going smoothly. From April 2005 onwards however, we have been seeing a remarkable decrease in the number of our pages indexed in Google. I have just checked today (18 July 2005) and the number of our pages has gone down to 23000. (nearly half of our pages have been thrown out by Google). Due to this our rankings have also been affected and our traffice has also gone down. Our Google PR has remained constant throughout i.e. 4 Can any one please tell me what is wrong ? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks,Steve MannYou have given link to all the pages in site map page but Google robot may consider first 100 links in the site map, as per my view you need to create more site map page for each 100 links. So create 100links/site map page and create as many as site map page according to your site requirement! Also, make sure that you can reach each page in three clicks or less from the home page. Google is ignoring pages that are set too deeply in a site. A proper Site Map linking structure, like that recommended by SEO_Indian, should help resolve the issue.thanks....Ill try it and upload the page.....and hopefully itll be back to normal.
