hey People, new guy here.
i cant find how i messed this one up, please tell me why my images aren't showing up.
www.angelfire.com/realm2/sydeffex/home.htmlI tried accessing your images via the URL. Looks like they're not really there. Make sure all your images are uploaded correctly.thanx, i'll take a look at that... angelfire says there all there in the images directory and i can access them all individually through the "web shell" thing they have for file management.. .i just figured it was something inthe coding or the browser... grrr... i'll try re-uploading them and i'll let you knowquick question. are you uploading the files in binary mode or ascii mode on your ftp? If you're doing it in Ascii mode (might have forgotton to turn it off after uploading some .pl or .cgi files) it won't upload the images correctly and they won't display.

Doesn't look like that's the problem here, but it's worth a shot asking :)It seems to be a matter of CaSe LeTtErInG.

Example...
The first image is coded as...
http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/sydeffe ... rofile.gif
The actual image is located as...
http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/sydeffe ... rofile.gif

Notice the capital P in Profile? When it comes to files, spelling and CaSe LeTtErInG counts!Originally posted by gregmondro
he's using a free service dude angle fireyou're right, its the capitol letters. cant believe I missed that. oh well, thanx a lot.i often find that its a really simple reason when a piece of HTML doesn't work, and thats what makes it so frustrating!
The whole case sensitive deal can be controlled by always uploading in small case, i'm not sure about angelfire but i do know that Tripod gives you the option to upload everything and assign the URL into small case - that way you know the problem doesn't lie there.
