I hope you guys can help me with some feedback.
one of my sites i was holding first page ranking on over 15-20 keywords related to my business. but for past couple month i been losing my spots one by one.
I am doing the same SEO systems always been doing and I just don't get it.
I would appreciate any suggestion.
Thanks
Kathy Time to change what you are doing, maybe the competitors are doing new things, SEO is always chanigng.
Get more links, high PR links, contextual links, expand your social networking, good quality PRs and Articles, keep going Above is a good post. You've either got some bad links from somewhere or your competitors breaking their backs more to get above you and others.
Get a list of people above you and do a back link check and see if you can links back from the same sites as they have. Have some fresh content going and try to build decent links. Checking competitors links etc is a good start. However it could also be that people are not clicking on your website too, so it might be worth looking at your meta descriptions to see if that could change.
You could also try to improve your organic backlink building by blogging more, or using twitter to promote your blog. As everybody had just said, keep an eye out for competitors, see what they're doing, how they've changed, try and imitate them, and even get better than them
Good luck mate Same here... All my targeted keywords are on the first page of Google. One of them just reach no. 6 position. And I hate it since it's now no. 10.
I'm still doing the process that I usually do. And maybe they are right that our competitors are also doing their best. Quote: Originally Posted by DB9 Above is a good post. You've either got some bad links from somewhere or your competitors breaking their backs more to get above you and others.

I checked my back links they are same as 3-4 month ago.
I did competition back link check on sites who are fresh on first page of my keywords. they have less back links but content do you think that's a factor?
Thanks

any recent change on SEO lately that I might have missed? Quote: Originally Posted by chittu I suggest you not to imitate your competitors. 1) lack of updation
2) Put RSS feeds for your blogs and submit in blog directories and bookmarks.
3) Use social networking sites for your promotion. Google considers the updates in social networking sites as social voting systems.
These may be wrong. we cant identify the views of search engines. Anyway, make a try. All the best. Thank you Great suggestions. all the best to you as well. Content is very important, maybe add content to each of your pages, even another 200 words can kick something off. Quote: Originally Posted by bobkat I hope you guys can help me with some feedback.

Kathy, without the site-patient it is impossible to give right-to-the-point suggestions.
There can be so many things go wrong: your content pages deindexed, your backlinks deindexed, MayDay, Instant, your competitors getting hyper-active.
- There are always new backlinking and on-page optimization methods appearing, put your eyes on it.
- Another thing, correctly suggested above - regularly update your old content and add new pages with new original content.
- And finally, work on internal interlinking between pages - nowadays it helps a lot.

George
