Im trying to figure out what google likes more. Do they like quality over quantity? So is say 20-30 pr 4 backlinks better or 1 pr 6 back link better? And what do you think 1 pr 8 backlink would be equivilant to in terms of the number of pr 4 backlinks? Meaning how many pr 4 backlinks would it take to equal the same value that one pr 8 backlink would give you? Or is that not even possible? sorry i dont understand, try adding comma's and full stops Hi,PR is semi -logarithmic so a PR 5 is approx = to 10 PR 4's and a PR 6 to 10 PR 5's etcThere are many other factors such as the context of the page however so its best to focus on high PR links from the right pages.Clare"PR is semi -logarithmic so a PR 5 is approx = to 10 PR 4's and a PR 6 to 10 PR 5's etc There are many other factors such as the context of the page however so its best to focus on high PR links from the right pages."we're almost positive it's some sort of logarithmic scale, but we don't know what the base is, and it may not even be consistant. but yes: a PR7 link is going to be worth more than a few thousand PR1's.A few thousand PR 1's from a few thousand different sites would be worth more to me than 1 from a PR 7 site...Like dr nick, I would prefer thousand PR1 from thousand of different sites than one PR7 from a PR7 site. well, I wasn't answering the question "what would be better for your site," I was answering "what does google consider more important?"alien wrote:I am getting a mix of high PRs and low PRs for my site now. advisable? also, i prefer a thousand low Pr
