Looking at using one of the three scripts included in Fantastico but don't know which one to use, without having to go through installing and using then to find out not a good one to use.

Looking for safe, reliable, easy to use, a bit like idiot proof in some regards.

All advice appreciated as always.
You'll get as many answers as if you asked someone what their favorite automobile maker is. Everyone has their own opinion and what may work great for some, might not work at all for someone else. The BEST way (IMHO) is to go ahead and install them and play around a bit. (That's one of the nice things about Fantastico!)
And the answer for you really depends upon your requirements. For example, if you want easily modify the appearance, beyond simple color changes, then stay away from osCommerce as it does not support more than simple color changes (without doing some serious code hacking).

As stevevan said, the best is to use each for a period of time to see which fits your requirements closest.
When I found out CubeCart gave you the option to do digital downloads, I fell in love with it, lol. The other two won't.

Also, like the other two mentioned...and if you don't want to install them, go to their respective sites and take the demo tests.
