Greetings,
I've been on an exhaustive search these past couple of weeks. My company is looking for a top of the line web designer who specializes in css to work on an ongoing project. Truth be told, I haven't been overly impressed with the portfolios I have seen thus far.
We're looking for someone who can create a highly efficient, clean, user-friendly, professional (yet fun) site and my search is coming up short.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might continue my search?
Thank you kindly.
*edit* I now realize this should have been posted here (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=26">http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=26</a><!-- m -->). Could a moderator please move it? Sorry for the trouble. The problem you are running into is:
- graphic designers are used to WYSIWYG tools that produce atrociuos code
- best coders are not always best graphic designers and you have to do "View Source" to be impressed with their work.
If you want to have the best of both worlds, you may have to spend money on both. Get a coder to do content development and layout, then have graphics designer clean up the graphics.
As far as efficient CSS coding, I am in the top percent.Try posting it on dice.com.
