Where do i put and enable the .xml documents?

Sorry for the silly question, but I'm admin of a forum, that I taked over from a friend
Now I want to inpuut some things, but I don't know how to
So how do I have to do this?
Srry for being Noob, but i just jioned today and couldn't find it else on the forum
 
This depends on WHAT the xml is for!

If you are installing a PRODUCT....then go into your Admin Control Panel and find "Plugins & Products" and then "Manage Products"

Next......go to the bottom of that page, click "Add/Import Product" and install your xml and follow the installation instructions....

If you are installing a new skin, then the xml get installed via:

Download / Upload Styles > Import Style XML File

Not a problem you upload your themes either to the root directory or images folder or styles folder. There is a xml folder already in the root directory which you could upload them there but I like to keep mine on a diffrent computer. Once you upload the theme then you go to the admincp > styles & templates > download / upload > choose your xml then click new style and no parent then you can put the position your theme will be either 1 thru what ever. If they style is not = to your version of vbulletin then click ignore version then click import if all went right you know have a new theme.
