I have a background in writing telecommunication software using a "C++ type" language. I want to update my skills for a job change into a mainstream IT job. I enjoy application software development that a person would use, as opposed to low-level protocol development ... <br />

What "languages" should I focus on? Where I can find online training and resources for those languages? I have the foundational understanding of HTML, some SQL. What will give me the most benefit to learn?<br />
