When not to use XML?

I'm pretty new to XML. I done a lot of reading and attended a handful of presentations/seminars,but I haven't done much with it yet. I was curious in your experiences withXML, what situations have you come across where XML probably shouldn't havebeen used? Maybe someone was over zealous in wanting to use XML, or someonethought they had to have it in their app just to say they have it in theirapp. Perhaps there've been times you looked back on a project you did andthought "I really shouldn't have used XML in that situation." I realize thatXML shouldn't be used as a database, but are there other situations whereXML probably shouldn't be used? I think we could all learn good uses of XMLby hearing about some bad uses of it.
