When is Google going to update its dmoz links?

Has anyone noticed that some newer links in dmoz aren't showing up in Google's directory yet? I think this has been going on for a while, any ideas on when it's going to be showing up again? Or if Google is abandoning the dmoz directory?I heard that Google was having problems importing data from the DMOZ directory for the last few updates, but are currently trying to work to correct the problem. I cannot remember exactly where I heard that from, and not entirely sure if I am right. Here is what I found from WebmasterWorld:"Why does it take so long for Google to update their directory from DMOZ? When will the next update be? How much weight is given, if any, to sites in DMOZ versus sites not listed in DMOZ when it comes to ranking." Googleguy wrote:When we updated once per month, we'd make sure that we downloaded the newest RDF dump of DMOZ before indexing started. I don't know when the next update will be. As far as the weight, a link from DMOZ is the same as a link from any other page on the web. DMOZ pages typically have more PageRank, so it helps in that respect, but there's no extra boost just because the link comes from the Open Directory.Yeah, I was reading about that too, there was much speculation that dmoz was being dropped, but I think some people were overly pessimistic. Apparently, there was a time when dmoz hadn't been update for more than a couple of months, and a few people panicked back then too. So no worries, it may take time, but it'll be on its way.i have listed the site http://newista.com over 1 month ago to the dmoz in the hosting category , google have indexed in one month but when you search at the google as "newista" it writes at the result as this site has indexed at google directory in the hosting category but when i check the directory of the google , it does not listed While i was searching the forums about this issue , i have heard something that , a few of the site doesnt listed at the google altough they had listed at dmoz over 1 month , but the interesting issue is that my site seems as listed while you search the google but while you are browsing the directory lists , it does not listed. Also all backlinks doesnt updated.I think that google working on something which is more important than those bugs.Preapere yourself to new BIG UPDATES ON GOOGLE.Also yahoo has broken the cooparating the with the google to run before the google .I think there will be a big updates becouse of this. The big updates have already happened, well 3 since November. The biggest positive one, in my opinion was the last one, Brandy. She made the reuslts for Google much more relevant than before. As for DMOZ, I am an editor, this has happened before (dr. nick stated) and people were worried. Just give it some time. Google has been working on its algo lately so they are probably just overworked right now "Also yahoo has broken the cooparating the with the google to run before the google ."- I am not sure what your trying to say here but if it has to do with Yahoo dropping Google, your correct. They are now using their own algo based on Ink. There will be big changes in Yahoo around April 15th.Hey vetofunk , it is what i correctly mean, yahoo corrapt the parnership with google to run infront of the google. And google gives more attention tothe search results algo. becouse of this. There will be a big competetion between them also google loose its rank to the yahoo ... You know that?I am thinking that exactly. As you are dmoz editor , what do you think, why google lost their attention to the DMOZ . They do not care all the bugs in the last month while updating dmoz database...
