And therefore if I link TO a website and that website does NOT LINK to mine (or vice-versa) that is not considered a backlink?There is no set time when PR updates happen, but they are usually quaterly and usually happen a short time after a backlink update. So people generally know about what time there should be one.A backlink is a link from one site, to your site. It kinda counts as a vote for your site.Backlinks from a site with high PR and related content are better than links from low PR sites with unrelated content.The best backlinks are one way (when a site links to you but you dont link to them).
