Let suppose if I want to rank in for single keyword like "thanking" .
Then which will have a better impact to get faster page one rank if someone searching for exact word "thanking". Is it:
www.example.com/thanking
Or
www.example.com/thanking-us
The keyword itself won't be in the domain name. So which wuld be the better choice solely on this criteria? Both will work same I would suggest that the term "thanking" will not be used alone. It is a term or keyword which will be used with some purpose like "thanking you" or "thanking the boss" likewise. So make something which is searched by user. No one is going to use thanking alone. totally agree. You have to stay away from common phrases . My suggestion is to focus on specific keywords, try to find exact matches ( keywords ) Quote: Originally Posted by JasonWright337 I would suggest that the term "thanking" will not be used alone. "thanking" was just an example. What I was really going to use as one keyword was "tafseer". So should I just go with example.com/god OR example.com/what-is-tafseer You can use both "thanking" and "thanking us" for that page. Both will work the same. When we are searching for any thing on Internet the result of that key word, related to that key word and similar type of words are displaying. So, both the words "thanking" and "thanking us" will get the the same result. When you optimize certain keywords, thinking about search engine robots is not enough, you have to think how humans search. thanking and thanking us, I prefer thanking us, coz you have to do keyword research how many people use thanking and how many people use thanking us. of coz for human behaviour, most will use thanking us (a phrase rather than a word). its really up to you which one you prefer since both
