Was wondering what was everyone's adsense click-through rate. One of my websites has about 1% click-through rate.Does it need improving? Do you achieve better click-through rates? You could do alot better. With a bit of blending and good placement you could easily get above %51% is a very low CTRI agree, try out blending and ad placement changes and experiments and you will definitely achieve a higher CTR over time.my websites has about below 1% click-through rate. I play google adsense on top of the every page.It is against TOS to reveal actual CTR.However, in saying that the CTR can ultimately be low for certain types of websites ... some websites people are not looking to buy anything just looking to find out some information so are highly unlikely to be clicking.Higher CTR is normally associated with niche markets / websites that offer good advice and give the visitors clear product related/informational adverts similar to what they wish to find more information on or want to find a certain product etc.Blending + other on page factors can also determine the CTR, and it will vary from website to website so Testing is the key.If you find that you have a low CTR then try adapting a different size, colour or placement of an advert and monitoring the results over a period of time (usually at least 1 week of a trial if that will give you enough impressions to compare with current placement).Although the ads are supposed to be relevant, that is not always the case and they are often not relevant enough or the wrong interpretation is taken by google and it serves ads that are in the wrong context... for example if your talking about a game and in the game you mentioned how to make money in the game ... google could pick that up and serve ads about making money in general ... totally in the wrong context and therefore guaranteed to not be of interest to your visitors... although you may get the odd click with people who just want to visit and see what it offers but are not in that 'buying' frame of mind, but a browsing frame of mind and therefore overall low CTR.Also big advertisers that target 1000s of words, they may get displaying on lots of pages but actually do not serve the interest of the website visitor.Overall, if Adsense Publishers could link in keywords to their sites and have keyword targetted ads served by google in the correct context, then every publisher should see an increased CTR and relevancy rate. I believe google may offer this to people with 10mil+ pageviews a month although am not 100% sure.
