Hey,What do you guys think is the average salery pay for an in house SEO job? I think I am getting screwed over. Please everyone who views this thread reply with an estimate. Thank you,JacobIf you're working as an employee, you're going to be getting paid much less than you are working as a self-employed contractor. As an employee, they can basically pay you what they want to. As a self-employed contractor, you set the rates and they can either pay it, or not and you don't waste your time with them. How much really depends on the site, and your workload. Some of the companies I've SEO'd for didn't require a lot of extra to do what they needed. Some required a huge amount of work.Working on-site, I charge between $40-120/hr, depending on the website's needs, the company, and their budget. If I'm doing work on their site from my house, I usually knock 33% off the quoted rate.Thank you very much for you reply. How do you get your clients? through SERPs, or do you call around...?Hey john you seem to know SEO fairly well. I was wondering if you would be willing to pass some of that knowledge on to me. I would really like to know how you get back links for the web sites you develope for your clients, and what your strategy is. If I was to do freelance again I think I would build up a huge network like the company I am working for now has done http://www.utahwebservices.com/, and use that network to get my clients ranked. All of our clients are ranked 4 or higher on google. What do you think?ThanxI charge between $25 - $75 an hour for freelance work.As long as the network of sites are relevant to the subject and from different ip's. Some guys have tons of sites across the web that all carry the same subject and the sole purpose is to build PR. Though you still need to get links from sites with a high Pr to get the ball rolling and keep it rolling.i charge between $25 and $50 and hour for that kind of work...
