Friends can any one explain me the concept of image optimization? When you insert an image into a web page you have an opportunity to describe the image with text in case the the image cannot be rendered on the users screen. This alternate descriptive text is crawled by search engines and can be used for on page SEO. You can do the image optimization by putting the alt tags on each and every image of your web site .......because google fetches the data from the website also ..... Here, let me google that for you

Part of image optimization is when you make it easier for search engines to tell "what" your images are about Image optimization use for image promotion. When anybody find image on search engine then showing in ranking on Image SERP. That's called image optimization ... It is the process of onpage optimization and promotion. you can see their are many website who put many top images or front page images. they may cause the page speed issue. your site may get suffer from low loading time for heavy pages. so for this their is one process to make this images lighter for browsing. The other way is promoting your website logo or banner on other image sharing sites. Quote: Originally Posted by wilphred Friends can any one explain me the concept of image optimization? Image optimization is when an image is "cleaned" to load faster on a site....
Sometimes referred to as "crunching" an image....

)))

In the mostly dial-up days.....it was a necessity...or the site would take minutes to load........
Once again ...load times have become a factor.....

Think about that...
