What is Iframes? Can I create Iframes within Dreamweaver MX?

Hi all

silly as it may seems, I dont have any ideas of what I frames are. And How they differ from Frames and framesets.

I am not a HTML coder, and have been using Dreamweaver on a mac to develop simple page layouts. I have read alot about the Iframes within the forums, but I am getting different descriptions from different posts.

Would it be possible for some one to let me know what Iframes is and actually does. Even a url, so I can see it in action.

Can I create IFrames within Dreamweaver MX

Thanks in advance
Giframe - inline/floating frame,
it works out of a frameset so you can place it anywhere on a page, give it a size and a src, link to it like a normal frame etc. Basically as the name 'floating' says, it's a standalone frame that you can float around the page.
quite simple to do, i don't use dreamweaver but here's (http://www.flashgimp.com/tutorials/drea ... iFrame.htm) a tutorial on ow to do it in dreamweaver :)My site (http://www.jeffraymond.vze.com) uses an iFrame. Netscape4 doesn't support them, but most, if not all modern browsers (IE3+, Opera 6+, Netscape 6+, Konqueror 3+) now support them.Hi yall

Thanks for the quick response. As soon as I have something up, I'll let you all know.
