You know, we can create backlink for any site we want ( but usually we make for our own site)

the question is, what if someone (we don't know this person) is make a bad backlink that point to your site ?
(like 100 duplicate content with link to your site)
or inject your site illegaly to a site

Will that the result your site sanded by google ?

I think this sounds logically someone can do to others site right?

If so how can we avoid that ? Quote: Originally Posted by fsplan the question is, what if someone (we don't know this person) is make a bad backlink that point to your site ?

or inject your site illegaly to a site Links coming from bad sites will just be ignored by Google. Google is aware of these actions and will not punish your site for bad links.

If new content was stolen from your site and was indexed on the bad persons site before yours was indexed you could file a DMCA with Google to tell them that its your content.

So no. The situations you listed cannot hurt someones site. I listened to an interview once from an SEO guy on youtube (forget the link) where he mentioned that he felt that getting links from irrelevant sites was bad because it "confused Google" and that if they found too many links to their site from irrelevant sites they would request that the webmaster remove the link.

Although I don't think it is bad to have extra links. Especially if you are small, Google will only penalize you for bad links if a red flag comes up and they manually decide to take your rankings down.

If the site you are working for is JC Penny (who were penalized for such an activity), on the other hand, you might want to be proactive in monitoring where your links are coming from and take steps to maintain that nobody is damaging the SEO reputation of your site. yeah.... I think so. We have to monitor the links.

But if "a bad" person want to hurt you, of course they will make dozen of link using link submission program, or article mixer ?

and the link is not from us who make it right ? so how can we remove that link ?

Thanks for your reply let's discuss ! Quote: Originally Posted by fsplan what if they don't care and just ignore it ? There is a couple of things you can do. You can file the DMCA request through Google. If they don't comply Google could de-index or even blacklist their site. Also you can send a 'cease and desist' order to the offending web site owner (info in whois) and if they don't comply you can contact their host and depending on their policy they could have the offending site shut down till the owner complies.

how can we file DMCA ? Here is the DMCA compliance form:

http://www.google.com/support/bin/st....cs&ts=1114905 Don't be panic. Google only track your site when you will get the bad links in a huge quantity for a long time. i don't think there is any people who will make a 1000 links for your site in a day . so don't be worried. (like 100 duplicate content with link to your site) Are we talking about a scraper posting your whole article to their site?

'Cause if we are, you can issue a Cease and Desist notice requesting it be removed and send a copy to their web hosting and domain registrar.

If they are using AdSense, you can also issue a copy of the Cease and Desist to Google's AdSense department.

Beware though, this is a legal document. You have to provide truthful and accurate information for any of this to work. The major web hosting companies have things laid out how they want your Cease and Desist notice worded.

Put this in the top of each page to stop that:
Code: <script type="text/javascript"><!-- if (parent.frames.length) top.location.href= http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum/document.location;--></script> Quote: Originally Posted by fsplan Will that the result your site sanded by google ?

If so how can we avoid that ? If you keep on top of the instances you find where your content is being duplicated you should have no problems.
