if my orignal articles are copied to another site will google ban both sites or just the other site how google determines who has the copied articles. Google will display who they come across in the results first. What this means is if you write an article post it to your blog let Google crawl and index it then the content will be owned by you no matter how many article websites you submit it to. When someone types in the article title your blog post will be displayed in the results helping your blog bring in organic traffic. On the other hand if you write a piece of content and submit to a bunch of article directories first then after a while post it on your website Google will display the articles in the article directories which ever one it came across first. I hope this made sense. kbeus is correct. You will not be penalized . I've seen this case study over the years. Hardly anyone ever get penalized. You can even view Matt cutts response to that question on his blog. (i forgot where). Check it out though. Not much to worry about just don't let the thieves outrank u via more links! The two are answers are my thinking too which is actually logical since a competitor could just copy all content from your site to penalize you in the rankings. Now, if a person uses an article submitter and submits the same article to hundreds of different article directories, will google ban the site the article links back to? Would not matter ...since your content is up first....

Will not ban the site...you can still get all the backlinks... All content that you publish will rank higher and get in search results faster if you page is active, you will not get banned for duplicate content just keep publishing (sometimes create own material also) it depends mostly on the time factor if your article ispublished before the other copied one the other site is guilty and vice versa IMO If your articles have already been indexed by Google, then your website will have no effect. But if the second person has stolen your articles before indexing and his articles are indexed first, then your content will be termed as duplicate by Google hmmm....time to think then Well there are a lot of questions about duplicate content over the past few years but this issue is already answered in the past threads over different forums and blogs.
