What does the ">" do in this code

Hey all, couldn't find an answer for this, what does the > do, example:

html > body .sitelinks { background: transparent url(images/tbox.png) bottom repeat; }

or

html > body #rinfo { z-index:5; position: fixed; bottom: 0px; right: 0px; }

I do use FF, it is better than IE, but it's use outside of web designers/builders is very limited.but its growing , and no one can deny this...but i actually had the same thought fantatier...i was like wow 20%...hmm....someone told me they checked on their servers....and most of their visitors are webdesigners, who actually defend web standards, so they often use firefoxThe statistics above are extracted from W3Schools' log-files, but we are also monitoring other sources around the Internet to assure the quality of these figuresLook at the big picture!

They (w3schools) can have my logs: IE 99% , FF <1%Thanks for the Info guys. It helped. I only installed FF for the DOM thingy.IE supports the "DOM thingy"Originally posted by Fang

IE supports the "DOM thingy" Don't start a IE vs. Firefox debate, especially when you're pro-Fox. ;)I meant that FF has the built in DOM inspector. I dont believe IE has one, does it? It helps noobs like me understand the DOM.Originally posted by Ben R.
