What do they mean by "give your answer in points like 1-5"?

So I'm just wondering why?<br />
Is it just to make it easier to copy/paste homework?<br />
Is it something about search engine optimization?<br />
(I returned to Yahoo answers after coming across something on Google, and it was a question formatted a bit weird which made me thing)<br />
Or is it just random retardation?<br />
I can't remember if they say please.<br />
But it looks weird to me, because always after the 5 it says "so I can give you best answer"<br />
Never on a new line, like its the same macro.<br />

it means they want you to jot your points down in numbers. they want a specific layout for the questions. it's just random. to make it easier to read or something. or it could be for homework.10 points?
