What do I do when my icons are not loading on my desktop?

When I log off and log back in my computer's icon don't show up neither can I right click. What can I do to fix it.<br />

Sounds like it could be a corrupt profile or some type of virus. Try this... go to C/documents and settings/' and rename your profile name to [name].old, then just log off and log back in. It should recreate your profile and fix your icons. if not, you may have a virus and need to do a virus scan.

press ctrl + alt and delete , make sure that it goes to the task manager , click the processes, find explorer.exe (if you cant find it click file then run task, type "explorer.exe", if it still doesn't show up there is a problem on your hard drive) if its there stop it and do the same thing in the previews step
