What Are You Doing Differently?

In terms of SEO, what (if anything) are you doing differently compared to a year or so ago? Are you ignoring updates by Google? Or, changing strategies with every update? I honestly never have to change much. I do make some changes here and there to add some variation to backlink profiles but the updates don't affect my clients' sites too much. If you always do ethical marketing, the updates don't mean much. Quote: Originally Posted by deucegmarketing I honestly never have to change much. If you always do ethical marketing, the updates don't mean much. Every since Google has changed some things and slapped some websites down the drain I am officially getting nervous about where I going to get my backlinks. I just ranted about this on another post here---Google Takes Down Build My Rank..
Was just wondering, since you do this for people, are you still using sites like LinVana? Or are you staying away from them totally and building the links manually? Article Submission: I see to it that I'm not submitting the articles repeatedly unlike before.

Social Bookmarking: It's more on quality than quantity.

I removed spinning content because I saw that it affects the performance of my site. I've observed that my keywords were dropping because of posting low quality content in web 2.0. Bookmarking is now about the quality, not the quantity.

I've always been white-hat when it came to content, so I don't have to worry there.

In terms of backlink profiles, I usually modify them after competitors and then get "creative" - so yes, I've been doing everything manually.

More updates, the better! Quote: Originally Posted by Cricket In terms of SEO, what (if anything) are you doing differently compared to a year or so ago? Are you ignoring updates by Google? I've did a big revamp on my design and cleaned up the above the fold with the new design earlier this year.

I'm still doing the same thing as last year but strict on blog posts now. Gotta watch out for those spun ones and always try to have 500 word blog post when writing one.

I want to Bribe Google so i can pretend it's 2004 and do some old fashioned link building. lol Article submission and social bookmarking is the best way to do work on quality. I always been came white hat..

Everything will be always be a original because new content always be helpful so o don't worry about that..

Or, changing strategies with every update? In building links, I decided to stick to but on content I change some of it like the keyword placing, number of keywords per page and using tags. I really don't care if the links are dofollow or not. Google changes a few things, but the original structure of the seo is always same. So I prefer to stick that structure and not much bother for new updates. I read about all those changes on this forum pages and if something is to be changed, I follow. It really need to change strategy with Google uptades , because the website we are optimising need to be friendly for search engines. Sometimes the changes make link building easier. For example, on february of 2012 Google changed It's link valuation and now backlinks from high PR or low PR are the same . So this year blog commenting I'm doing not only in high PR sites as last year I have not changed strategy but keeping eye on googles updates.
Keep one thing in mind if you are doing off page that take link on related site. Concern to SEO than I strictly follow search engine rules and do changes only in my working strategy. And mainly I am keep my focus on real and qaulity work no matter how hard it is but results is final. Nothing in different in SEO techniques friend I am following the exact SEO strategy for about 2 years and I don't think I should stop. Forum and Article marketing...
Social Bookmarking for each new blogpost (// page)
Blog commenting on HIGH PR pages

I don't think I should do anything new, because it is working incredibly well
