I am a new one in this forum. I have to take decision about inactive products of my site. I want to know what are the best error to show on these pages, so it will be remove slowly from Google and don't hurt our site visitor. My site was a clothing affiliate site they continuously need to inactive products and add new collection of clothing from different merchants. I need there permanent solution.

Howard Jones You could try to leave a message on each page saying "this product/service is no longer available... you might be interested in ______". Or remove the pages that are no longer needed.
I've handled a buy & sell site before with thousands of pages, they used the same methods (the ones I mentioned above). I don't think you need to tell Google that those pages have errors in order to be removed. Once a page is deleted, the next time Google bot visits that page and no longer there, it will not be displayed in SERPs anymore.
