ok, I posted in the general forum and acting on that advice, am posting here.

The first linked website in my signature is due for an overhaul. The biggest suggestion was to drop the frames and use CSS.

Well, here I am am. I am trying to redo the site, but haven't gotten it uploaded yet.

One of the advises I got was to drop the frames and use tables, however, upon reading a CSS guide, they suggested to not use tables and to use frames.

I am so confused. Do I want frames or not (I would think no, but that opens a whole other can of worms). If I use tables, I will have to code each page to have the top banner and the side menu map (which i also found out should go bye bye).

Am I missing a huge piece of CSS that will allow me to do the layout?

Thanks in advance for all your expert help to a noob.

yes I have Designing Web With standards on order, should arrive soon. You dont want to use Frames or Tables for layout. What you need to do is go to <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.w3schools.com">www.w3schools.com</a><!-- w --> and learn CSS.Try layoutomatic
