I was wondering if anyone could assist me with this question.
Do Web Directories have any SEO Value?
The reason I ask this is that over the past few months we have been working on various link building techniques and documented our SERP Improvements after a few days of the links being accepted and indexed.
Out of all the methods we found web directories gave little if any improvement.
Am I wrong in thinking SEO value is automatically passed on when a link is indexed or are web directories a waste of time now in SEO? The same thing was asked from Matt Cutt. He said that director submission is still effective but submitting to only directories which are quality ones will help. He didn't get out the names of them... Quote: Originally Posted by
