Volume and Network icons have disappeared?

I downloaded an iso file and mounted it to a CD, the CD created is a recovery disk for pre-installed vista windows, as instructed i ran the test > press any key to boot from CD >selected english > repair windows > no errors found. The test was ok, restarted the computer and found the network and volume icon on the taskbar have gone.<br />
How do i get them back please.<br />

Right click on task bar> properties> notification area> customize> and change the behaviour of the icon you wish to display by clicking on it

my volume goes sometimes too i find it on the start menu place

but i dunno about the network
