I am a regular user of Visual Studio 6 and was just curious on a few things regarding the .NET product. I just received our set of Enterprise Architect disks and was wondering...does .NET replace the VS 6.0 environment? Am I meant to upgrade to .NET and solely use that now or are the environments meant to coexist?

Thanks!I am running vb6/vs6 AND vs.NET here with no problems!!! I often have them ALL open and running at the same time!!! Enjoy! You'll need to run both.

Certainly, you *could* just run with .NET....But if you still have VB6 projects that you need to maintain, or want to upgrade to .NET without having to re-write, then you you really need to keep VS6.

And as Chris mentioned, with a few minor bugs that may pop up, they do run flawlessly side-by-side.I think you just need to have VS 6 installed before installing VS.net for both of them to work. When I most recently re-built my machine, I installed VS.Net before VS6. They both work fine.
