hey guys, its been a while. I am making a site for a guy and am having trouble getting the dropdown menu to work in IE. I have used a dropdown menu before and it worked fine but i am having trouble with this one. The link to the problem is <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.moonshotstudios.com/loghome/books-wood.html">http://www.moonshotstudios.com/loghome/books-wood.html</a><!-- m -->
Any ideas how to fix this would be great. I tried messing w/ z-index some but that did not work for me. This could be because I dont have the strongest grasp on how z-index works. Thank you
Also, if you want to through any general ideas about the site design or whatever go for it. Thank you guys (isn't that a horizontal drop down? Lol)
Does your drop down include javascript (which it probably does)? If so, does the browser have javascript enabled? If it doesn't work still, then sorry, can't help.(isn't that a horizontal drop down? Lol)

eh, vertical - horizontal, depends how you look at it to me the main menus are vertical to each other ;P
I use a .htc file to get the dropdown to work with IE.Bumping this up to see if anyone else can help. Thanks guys I can't really help, but if you can't get it working you might want to give this a try : <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://udm4.com/">http://udm4.com/</a><!-- m -->
I've used it before, easy to set up with your styles and a commercial license is only $80 per site.
Regarding your site, I'm not too crazy about the links in the the top white box. They seem to be floating in a bit too much white space. I think it might work better if they were all inline horizontally.
I like the color scheme, and I like the feel of the menus.
The "logs" that stretch across the top of the content looks as if the top left corner is chopped off a bit. 'Books' also looks a bit too close to that graphic also. I'm viewing the page in safari, let me know if you need a screenshot.I've used it before, easy to set up with your styles and a commercial license is only $80 per site.
Only $80 per site?! A List Apart has the code for them for free (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.alistapart.com/articles/dropdowns">http://www.alistapart.com/articles/dropdowns</a><!-- m -->).You have probably add a margin and/or border to the original layout.
The mouseout event is fired thus closing the menu.
Go back to the original layout, checking it's working in IE, each time you change the CSS.
Or find a different menu to use.
