I downloaded "vBulletin.v3.8.0.-GYSN", but I really do not know anything, I have read the manual but how can I set up my own server as it says...

I have change "config.php.new" to "config.php", I open it on word, & it says...

****** DATABASE NAME ******
// This is the name of the database where your vBulletin will be located.
// This must be created by your webhost.
$config['Database']['dbname'] = 'forum';

what is my webhost,please, I have not got a clue?

the only step I have done is rename the cofig.php, what do I do next.

P.S I'm new!

Get yourself a webhost that supports MySQL and has a Cpanel over 10 then read the install guide again.

It should make more sense then if you do not no how to use a feture try viewing a tutorial on it.

Alternatly you can pay me $5 and ill take care of setting up the vBulletin, Hosting and domain.
 
jinz....your missing all the information such as db name db password, your site name. webmasters email etc.... and do you even have a db to use yet? if not need MyphpAdmin and make one but im thinking your not ready for that so i suggest you dont start anything until you have read the manuals and such....and if you want a site created it starts about $150.00 and goes up for one you can just step in and go.

If you have someone do EVERYTHING for you, you won't learn a thing about running your site and will be totally dependent on others who may eventually tire of your refusal to learn. Take some well-meant advise: read up on what you want to do. You will feel much better about your accomplishments when you can say "I did this myself!"

This is not to say that asking for advise or help with something is a bad thing - that's why most of us are here! But if you let others do everything for you, it will cripple you in the long run.
 
im not believing this dont post your info in here .....your asking for a script kiddie to come and screw your whole world....and besides thats not the info needed. Please do not pm me for assistance as im telling you here im not going to help you on this as you have spammed,begged, for other members to do the work. My price starts at $150.00 and thats a basic install.....you have your options now.
 
Well people might help you a little but the thing is you dont even have your own independent domain name, and you are using a free domain and a free hosting and plus you are using a hosting that will take your forums down anytime and I dont see any point why you want to develop a forums on your free everything!! lol..

I can see your curiosity but if you still want to develop a forums just do it yourself and do at your own risk! I am sure no one is gonna help here!
